The other side of the Olympics

First, congratulations to all the athletes at the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics! It would such a monumental life challenge to make the team in any country, and a life changing moment to go to a far off place and compete against the world’s best.

It is no secret the Korean peninsula has seen more than its fair share of war and political strife in the last seventy years, and I’m sure we all want it to come to a peaceful end as soon as possible. Maybe these Olympic Games will be another step in that process.

If you’d like to read a novel that takes a glimpse into that strife, take a look at my book, “Faith”, the story of a young woman who serves in the US Air Force on the Korean peninsula, and the trouble she finds during her service years.
